In this self-portrait, I wear enormous ram’s horns — a reclamation of childhood shame. When I was nine, classmates told me Jews had horns, a cruel myth passed down by parents. That moment of alienation marked me deeply. Here, I stand in a pose referencing a 1940s photograph of a Jewish woman during Nazi Germany, wearing the armband with the Star of David. My horns are not hidden — they are magnificent, undeniable. This painting is for my younger self, turning mockery into power.
